Serenity

"Serenity"
Oil on Canvas, 20" x 16" $700

I don't really like to name my abstract paintings
because I hesitate to give a viewer
a prejudice as to what it signifies.
My hope is that each individual
will respond to abstract work
in his or her own individual way.

Having said that, I do believe
that this painting is serene.

Coastal Storm, Abstract Seascape

Oil, 12" x 12" $600

I wanted to capture the motion and feeling
of what's happening in the ocean
during a storm.
I love storms, by the way.
So, I used large brushes to give a sense
of the large wave shape,
and added orange elements
to indicate the sealife
under the water.

Mini Beach Abstract

Oil on Arches Oil Paper, $150
6" x 7.5"

This started as a strictly abstract strata-composition
painting,
and morphed into a semi-abstract one.
It takes me to my favorite beach in South Carolina.
I hope it transports you somewhere you love, too.
