Oak Creek Canyon Plein Aire Acrylic Landscape
Yesterday I had the opportunity to paint in Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona. It's been a long while since I painted "plein aire" (outside) and was reminded why I don't do it more often - bugs, wind blowing off painting, no flat surfaces in which to set my materials, etc. But it was definitely a good lesson in landscapes: they're hard! And God's creation is infinitely awesome.
