This contemporary floral of peonies was painted with traditional oil paints
as well as with R&F pure pigment oil sticks.
Peonies are my favorite flowers; it is sad that they do not grow in the
Valley of the Sun.
But my northern Arizonian friends can grow them,
so occasionally I can get a few once a year.
Well, I reached 60 today, so I'm a couple of days behind somehow
on this CHALLENGE.
I have been greatly celebrated and feel incredibly blessed.
Happy, contented, and loved.
This contemporary floral of red lilies needed a little something extra,
so I added the green polka dots as fabric in the background.
A contemporary take on a traditional subject,
the orange and pink add extra cheer to this rooster.
We had a pet rooster growing up;
he faithfully woke us up every morning
whether we wanted him to or not.
Thank you to all of you who have supported my challenge
to present 30 days of $60 paintings.
Because of your active encouragement,
I have sold 9 of the 14 paintings posted.
I loved the design and colors of these Kate Spade shoes
belonging to my daughter-in-law
who graciously leant them to me as a still life subject.
The proceeds from yesterday's painting
will go to my friend whose son has medical needs
which are not covered by the family's insurance.
I just want to remind my viewers that the other
piece presented for this family has not sold yet
and is still available:
This is a giclee (high quality print on heavy watercolor paper)
which comes with a mat and fits into a standard size frame.
