"Reaching Upward" Abstract Contemporary Oil Painting by Amy Whitehouse

Oil on Panel, 8" x 10" 

Using a limited palette of Cobalt Blue 

and Cadmium Yellow Light,

Black and White,

I used vertical columns to reach up.

There is also the small surprise color of orange,

the complement of blue.

I like the airy feeling,

the stretch of the colors,

and the small areas of interest.
