$500
In this painting I tried a new technique whereby I started with a textured substrate, painted many colors on at random and then "found" the pumpkin and leaves by painting the negative space. Fun and good for the brain because I have to think in terms of carving out the subject rather than painting it on the surface.

ReplyDeleteHi I just came across your work and I love it! I'm about to start a new project in my GCSE art course, and I was wondering if there's anywhere in particular you take inspiration from? I love to put a lot of texture in my work but I'm still working on trying to be more adventurous with colour and use brighter slightly less realistic ones like you have so if you have any tips at all about how you go about creating a piece like this I'd be very grateful!
