Lost in the Woods

Our last day of vacation held a small adventure for me.
My daughter Faith and I set out to do an easy 3 mile hike
today around noon.
Once we finished the route - we were close anyway -
Faith was ready to return to our lodgings,
and I decided to do a little more
by following a sign that said ".5 mile".
Some of you may not know that I am quite gifted at
GETTING LOST.
But I really felt that I could DO this little .5 mile "loop."
So off I merrily went with my camera and water bottle.
You already know the rest.
A couple of hours later I found my way back.
The last 1/2 hour, I expected to see Faith coming my way to
SAVE ME.
But nooooooo....she was happily sitting on the couch texting.
And I got nearly 6 miles under my belt!
Woo Hoo!!!!
