Atlantic Ocean, Seascape Paintings by Arizona Artist Amy Whitehouse

8" x 10" Oil on Linen, $195

I have only been able to paint in little bits of time the last few days,
and our Aussie continues to lick off any oil paintings she can reach.
So...now I have to remember to keep the studio door closed
so that my paintings are not "re-done"
nor is the dog harmed from EATING OIL PAINT.
Sheesh.
She took off a layer of paint on a large cloudscape with mountains below,
and I may have to incorporate some of her "improvements."
Anyway, as for the painting above,
I love the look of the ocean as a storm is rolling in;
the waves start to flicker a bit on top,
and one senses a roiling beneath the waves.
I hope I've captured some of the excitement I feel at these moments.

  1. I have got this picture in my mind now of your dog licking paintings! Oh my goodness, I didn't know dogs would do that!

    This is a beautiful work Amy. The blue really pops.

Take Time to Play

Oil on Canvas, 30" x 24" Blues and Greens go so well together, don't they? This painting depicts a playful attitude - at least...
