This painting has many many layers of paint from several weeks of trying to get it

to this point.

A LOT of my latest paintings are serene scenes;

I also find I'm now more attuned to large masses of color in a painting.

Rather than fussy "extras"....  we shall see if that is something that

sticks with me for awhile.

This weekend I am working on distilling

some basic principles of painting onto paper,

in preparation for my newest beginners' class.
